Second trip in Khanongphra, Pakchong

After all the Indonesia trip for weddings. Here I am in Khanongphra, Pakchong for flying tour with club members and boss. It's a tiring journey but I learnt how to enjoy and appreciate things as much as I can within short time.

This is my 2nd chance to be in Khanongphra, the first one was on November last year.

Last year in Khanongphra

I stayed in Rancho Charnvee Resort & Golf Course. This place is located at North-East Bangkok, about 2 hours drive journey. How do I reached here? I came by private aircraft - not belongs to me nor my family, it belongs to one of the club members. I'm so grateful they spare the seats for me :')

2 very experience pilots - honored to fly with them

Luggages for 4 pax for a week trip - feels like cargo suddenly LOL

Just arrived - private airstrip with golf course - perfect!

Rancho Charnvee is an awesome beautiful place. Green sceneries. I never knew I would fall in love with this place, usually I don't really interested with mountain areas as there are bunches of bugs and I simply hate it. Well, there were insects and mosquitos in here but still acceptable.

Bedroom - Superior room

The resort is gorgeously design on European houses and buildings concepts. I heard it's even personally picked and designed by the owner. It made me miss France :'( The place is well maintained too, I went here exactly a year ago and it still looks the same and even some improvements!

Bathroom - Superior Room

Deluxe room is totally bigger than this, it has living room and bunches of sofas and chairs and bigger bathroom too!

With Lily while waiting for the rest of the group!

2 aircrafts had arrived and parked inside hangar

DA42

Aerial view of Thailand - not sure which part of Thailand..

How did we get around? We rent a van which I asked our Thai office to help to arrange the van. It costs us THB 4500 per day with driver and additional fuel for THB 500.

Which restaurants we visited?

1. The Smoke House.
I went here last year, it's all Western food but the food is just simply amazing. The restaurant was so packed and thankfully we have reserved the seats. When we plan to visit this place for the 2nd time, unfortunately the restaurant had closed for 2 months because the CEO are fighting for the profit - that's what I heard. It's a shame though, the restaurant was just awesome and it's such a waste to shut it down.

2. Ban Mai Chai Nam Museum & Restaurant
This is the most unique restaurant ever. It has so many antique items from 50s to 90s. I do recognize 90s items, such as big tooth brush, old detergen, old soap, etc.
Food wise, it's just so-so. I remembered the food tasted good when I visit last year. Perhaps they have changed the cook.
They serve authentic Thai food and local wine.

Pear - Clarence - Lily

Mackerel fish?

Food we ordered for 5 pax..

Stir fried Kailan with crispy pork. Damn yummy!

3. I have no idea what's the restaurant's name.. I have no idea too for writing this
It serves Thai Cuisine, the taste is nicer than Ban Mai. They serves wine but not local one.

Place worth of visits:

1. Palio Khao Yai - Tuscan Village
It's like a mini-italy in Thailand. The place is beautifully build with the ambience of western village market. People don't really shops there, more to take picture. Including me. :)

Me and Khun Pear - so blessed to get to know her ;)

This place reminds me of France

2. Vineyard
I totally forgot which vineyard I visited, it's either PB Valley or Grandmonte. Visiting in November, nothing much to see because it had passed the harvest season. So there's no grapes :(

3. PakChong Night Bazaar
If you are a local street food lover like me. This is a place for you to visit. You could find different types of local foods, insects, caterpillar, noodle soup, mango salad, fruits, local "kuih", etc.

Pakchong Night Bazaar - I love night market in Thailand!

Local kuih - looks like in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore right ? :)

The locals called it "Kwe-Chai" and in my hometown, Pontianak they called it "Chai-Kwe". The taste is the same!

As I travelled with business people, obviously going to place that sounds boring is a big NO NO. I believe every traveller have different purpose to visit, so for all places you visit, it should suits the purpose.

Group pics before we leave for Udon Thani heading to Vientiane.

XOXO,
Jess
