Moving to new house..

Within 5 years that I have been away from home, I have move in and move out for 6 times. This is the 6th times! Can you imagine how hard it was to pack and unpack and pack again and unpack again? At first, it was soooo hard.. Because I like to buy some weird stuffs, cute and unique stuffs but useless. I end up just bought for fun, waste money. hahaha.

Since I moved to Singapore, it was my very first time staying together in 1 house with the landlord, previously back in KL, I always stay with my friends. So, this time round is the 2nd house that I'm staying together with landlord.

Ok. It is not easy to stay together with someone who owns the house, at first I was quite ok well mainly because I feel its like at home, there's warmth, the house is tidy, etc. Until, 1 day it really pass my patience line because the kids are just way too noisy and I can't take rest anymore. I know that's the concequences, but.. I do have my limit. That's my main reason why I left, overall, I didn't have any problems with the landlord, they are just fine. They never complain about, well maybe yes, just a small reminders what are the do's and don'ts, I believe that's normal.

The 2nd house. At first, it looks perfect. The landlord seems nice old lady, seems lovely. House is clean, etc. All seems perfect. Until, the next few days I moved there, I got a complain. A damn bloody complain just because I put my pyjamas on basin in the toilet. I have a housemate which is an old lady as well. She complained so horrible until both of us (I and my friend) were like.. Do you really need to be that mad? You could just throw the clothes on my door mat, I won't be mad. Since it's my fault, I could only say sorry and promise will not happen again.

On going to the 2nd week, when I was about to go out for lunch, landlord called me. I picked up and ask her was there anything wrong. She asked me did I passing motion and forgot to flush? I was like.. HELL NO!!!! I was so rush on that morning and I didn't have time to do it!!! She insisted like mad that I was the one who did it just because I left the house after my roommate. Just a small thing, it really creates havoc and it seems like somebody gonna destroy the house! Seriously. And until I got home, the landlord still insisted that it was me and she doesn't trust me - just because I hardly at home, I made mistake twice (once was left the clothes on the basin and I cooked on Monday), and first impression of her seeing me is fierce. I was like.. That's not fair! At first I wasn't mad, until I keep thought about it, and I felt it's totally unfair and she wasn't supposed to say those things as an elderly. I do realize that old people - chinese, loves to speak negative words to show their love (I know this is weird, but it's the truth!). Perhaps for her it was a joke but for me, it started to be offensive because she treated me unfairly.

I complained to the agent how and what happen in the house and she told me to keep calm, don't shout at her, speak nicely. And again, in front of elderly, I couldn't ever raise up my voice. It was a slight anger moment when I spoke with the agent. And I threat her that if I received any complains that is not caused by me or my roommate, I will move out.

I know all the things up that I just share is childish! To overcome this small thing, I decided to pray. Once I reached home after work, I pray for the house, for both the ladies, pray in the living room, kitchen, etc. I really glad that today, those anger moment it's just passed. And I don't want to think about it. Just forget it and that's all. I pray that God will bless them, protect them wherever they are and to be with them, give them peace, etc. I don't pray curse or bad things upon people, because God will hear it and who knows it might bounce back to us. Speak wisely!

Crazy things happens all the time, but don't let it destroy your joy. Be happy and always remember God. Give thanks to Him. :)

Oh anyway, here's the pic of the house. The layout looks like Suriamas. It brings memories actually.

I love my job, am I?

The Devil wears Prada

Previously, I never had a thought to share about my work, what exactly I'm doing. So here I am going to share with you. :)

I work with one of local company based in Seletar. The nature of the company is General Aviation. I never thought how I would end up in aviation industry. But, since I was kid I was influenced by my elder brother whom is an aviation lover. Our dream childhood was he would like to be pilot and I be a stewardess. Those days. Ok, back to topic.

At first I joined, it was so blur, I have zero knowledge, I was just a fresh-grad with some here-nor-there-experience-dunno-what-I-want-in-my-life, but I try to learn what are the aviation terms, learn to speak their language, I learnt by asking my boss, blend into a conversation, reading articles like crazy, etc.

It's really a life time experience to be stuck in this company because I had chance to flew in private aircraft! Something that I never dreamt before! I really thank God for this so much! Everytime I explained to my friend what exactly I'm doing, I can't explain in 3-5 sentence, once they understand what I'm doing they are really surprised and it's really such a unique things!

Ok, so here's what I'm doing, I'm in charge of taking care of the members - club members, we are not just a normal flying club like out there, we are more than that! Event as well, it's still part of the membership itself because this is the main reason I'm hired. Supporting on the admin side as well, I don't really do sales and marketing, I have no passion and interest but I guess I should start to learn all of these.

Here's the interesting part, I provide concierge service to members and public, in terms that concierge service is any service you would like us to do. Like applying landing and overflight permit, ground handling arrangement, fuel arrangement, etc. I do mostly on the ground coordination, however due to limitation of knowledge and experience, I'm unable to suggest on routing, weather etc. Even to give comments for weather, I give with the human language, not pilot language. Need to learn with all of these! I plan my work on the coordination as such that it's save cost, time efficiency, following the schedule and become a fortune teller. When you are flying, all the unexpected things will happen, either it's on the air or on the ground.

At first, it's really hard to do, because I have no experience, but learning it in the hard way, where I was being pushed and pressed (but not crushed), get scolded all the time (until now), it gave me a perspective where I will stick to the job as long as it allows me to grow and I love what I'm doing. It's hard, but I have my own satisfaction when I'm able to do it.

Most of all, I have 2 very nice bosses that I would hardly find out there. They are really helpful, supportive and 1 thing that I really appreciate the most, they never give up on me. They always give me chance for no matter how hard-headed I am, how unplanned and unorganized I am, and so many things!

Thank you bosses and colleagues for the great work together and I really thank God for putting me in this company with great working environment, great people around and I'm beyond blessed. :)

So here's the company logo and our core business :)
