[Getaway] Short Getaway 3D2N to Krabi, Thailand

I and my very good friend, Remita went to Krabi! Because we were wondering what and when was the last event that we went for holiday together and seems it had been a while. In March, there was a travel fair in Jakarta, I forgot how it ended up the choice of Krabi, Thailand. I think I just simply throw any good locations. I've been wanted to visit Krabi actually because I heard it's a nice place to visit.

At first, she wanted to go there for 5D4N and I told her it's too romantic for both of us. We negotiated between each other and it ended up to 3D2N. A short and nice one, since we will just relax in Krabi.

Only on end of April, early May we talked about the trip for the accommodation etc. Funny things, she kept chasing me like crazy, nagged me to check for the tour etc and I didn't do anything until the very last minute. HAHAHAHA.

So, our plan were pretty much good, we followed our plan very well. Here's our activity and funny stories in it.

Day 1 - Sunday, 25th May

I told Remita to meet up in airport at 8am, but she showed late like 20-30 min. While I was waiting for here, there was a girl that kinda staring at me and I was staring at her too because she looks like familiar but at the end I didn't say hi and she didn't too.

We took flight and while in the flight, we were like talking non-stop, literally like non-stop. Doing make ups, talking, chit-chatting, etc until the aircraft land. The flight itself took about 2 1/2 hours (about there).

Beauty time in airplane

When I arrived in Krabi, apparently the immigration officers weren't there! Then I was just waiting and there was a guy - whom I suspect the immigration officer, he was kinda panic, blur. And he pointed to me to queue on the counter, so I just queued and I was the first one. While waiting I looked at my left and right and there was a free sim card!! I still managed to choose my number! HAHAHA, typically being Indo.

The luggage came out quite fast and after that we were waiting about 20 mins, looking for our airport transfer - previously Remita had emailed to the hotel requesting for airport transfer and even we have provided the credit card details for payment! Unfortunately, we were rushing at that time and didn't realise that we didn't get any confirmation and we just realised it when we were waiting like idiots.
So we decided to take the cab from airport, while we were deciding and trying to negotiate; these 2 girls that I mentioned earlier, suddenly said hi to me and asked if I'm Hany's friend from makeup ministry! And I said yes! Actually she's Hany's model when we had makeup course last week! Quite coincidence bumped into someone that I know for holiday, I mean from so many destinations and timing, it was really on that day!

But it was a good thing because we shared the taxi fare. The taxi fare was THB 600 from Krabi Airport to Ao Nang, journey is about 30 mins.
These 2 girls were staying in AoNang Cliff Beach Resort, I saw the hotel, it was really nice! And we were staying in Aree Tara Hotel. Here's the pic of the room,

The room were basically clean, neat, tidy. But somehow, I just dislike the flooring; well it's just my preference, I prefer a room with wooden floor, feels more homey to me. But it wasn't really matter. We chose this hotel based on our budget; we didn't want to get a too very nice room as we would explore the town obviously we weren't enjoying the room that much. So mostly the room is just for the purpose for rest and shower.

Bathroom was clean as well, since the hotel is still new, I can say so because it looks like new. But, some of the stuffs are quit poor maintained. The swimming pool looks very lush and relaxing. I didn't try the swimming pool though, I was just too tired.

We reached hotel then we went to shop nearby to fill our tummy! We had 2 fresh coconuts and super damn spicy papaya salad! The coconut meat was so so yummy! It had pandan smell, really nice. We love it!

First attempt with monopod (aka tongsis). The coconut was really yummy!

Super spicy Papaya Salad - somehow regret when I said confidently 'Spicy!' to the shopkeeper

And our transportation reached on time, at 1 pm at Aree Tara Resort. Oh, our afternoon activity is Kayaking! I booked it from yourkrabi.com, I think it's the only website that was really nice and offer a relatively good and reasonable price! I highly recommend this website if you are going to Krabi, the owner / writer of the website is really friendly. I just found out that she wrote the book 'Your Krabi' when I saw it in massage place. It costs us THB 600 per person.

We were the only group of the day for afternoon kayaking session! Unfortunately as we came during low-season, the water tide was really low until we couldn't paddle at all! So we had to make a turn back. But, it was really fun and we enjoyed it so much!

After kayaking, my arms were in so much pain, I couldn't take it hence I went for massage near my hotel. I went for neck, shoulder and back massage, cost me for THB 250. Pretty much good.

In the evening we went to Krabi Town! They have the famous night market that couldn't be missed! The night market only open through out the weekend. From Ao Nang to Krabi Town it takes about 20-ish minutes by tuk-tuk. It cost us about THB 700 for return :( quite expensive because the other 2 girls got it for THB 550. Damn.

Tuk Tuk

Coconut Ice Cream~

As usual, Thai market is the best. Love the food. Love the stuffs. Much tourists. People karaoke. Much wow.

Day 2 - Monday, 26th May

After the tiring first day, second day was mad tiring too. We have arranged for 4 island tour by long tail boat. It costed us for THB 500 per person, which is very cheap; among all the online website. I bought it from yourkrabi.com - totally recommend this to you all.

Then we reach Ao Nang beach, at first we were quite lost, I mean it was really lot of local tourist and our faces; especially me blended with local face. And the tour leader was just happily speak Thai to all of us, even though there was few angmohs there. This is hilarious.

Here's the itinerary for 4 Island Tour
Phra Nang Beach - sightseeing beach and cave.
The view here is amazing. We found out that within the list of top restaurants that you should try it's in here! Dining under the cave, how awesome is that!

Mobile Restaurant :')

Tub and Mor Islands with sandbanks

Chicken Island - didn't get down, we passed by the island and at the other side of island we did snorkelling! I saw Nemo too! After snorkelling, apparently my tummy start to behave and I was really nervous hoping that the trip will end after this.
When it was not ended and even we still visit the last island, I get really nervous and I prayed to God, not now not now.

Snorkelling

Snorkelling

Fresh Pineapple and Watermelon

See the chicken head? And also the photobomb :')

Poda Island - didn't spend much time in here but this the island that saved me!!! I found a washroom, a clean washroom with water. Nothing could beat this! I was saved by washroom. Unfortunately didn't manage to spend much time due to weather, when we took pictures it was drizzling and the tour guide call us back to the boat.

Poda Beach~

Overall, the trip was totally awesome. The most worth THB 500 that I ever spent in Thailand. :)

Arrived in hotel, totally exhausted so after bath I fell asleep until Remita woke me up, we had dinner (not too nice) and we went to the massage place. I thought it will be really nice, apparently I could say it's quite a so-so. It's not that bad, but it's not that great too.

Waiting for Mango Salad~

Dinner

Moevenpick Ice Cream

Walking and exploring the area while finding the massage place

Day 3 - Last Day
Didn't really do much on the last day, because the flight is at 11-ish. So we just did some small shopping at 7 11. HAHAHA. I love pocky! So I bought some pockies and I saw they have LINE promotion for the mug. The mug was totally cute and I decided to get 2. Brown and Moon.

Adios Aree Tara Resort ~

Overall, Krabi is really a worthwhile place to visit for 2nd time. I would really love to go there again and stay in different hotel. It's a small town, majority filled by local tourist, the island tour is totally worth it, thai food - always yummy, and many more!!

'til then~

XOXO

[Review]: Makeup Tools: 13rushes Essential Brush Kit - Adrenaline Rush

Here's my recent purchase of brushes! As I've been joining makeup ministry recently, it really make me on fire for makeup stuffs! I'm such a makeup junkie. Hehe.

Forgive me - I haven't washed my brush :( and please ignore the bb box (it's just to cover up some space to take this pic :))

I got to know this brush thru friend in the same batch, so after I read the reviews and browse the website. Basically from the website itself, here's the details:
1. Cruelty-free; 100% synthetic
2. Handcrafted; HD Bristles
3. Inspired by you; designed by us
It's really interesting that I could find a local website who does this! And who doesn't love cruelty free product, at least it shows that some people do care about the animals! :)

I love how they put attention to details on each brushes kit to fulfil every girls needs. At first when I browsed about it, I was quite confuse until I read on the differences of each sets.

It comes with 2 colours option: Gold and Pink. I guess from the picture itself you will be able to realise the brushes are so fluffy!

Expert Collection 13rushes

After being a long-winded to decide for the brush, finally I decided to get Adrenaline Rush. My main reason was I didn't have Round Kabuki brush and I would like to collect more on the eyeshadow brushes.

Adrenaline Set was created for girl who:
1. Does not need an extra brush to draw her brows or line her eyes
2. Wants a bit of everything - balanced mix of base, eyes and finishing brushes

This set is consisting of:

1. Round Kabuki Brush
To apply foundation - The Round Kabuki is the best kabuki brush for mineral powder foundation. The girls loved it because the round bristle head fits perfectly in the contours of the face.
Personal review: As I don't have any mineral powder foundation, I'm using it to apply my gel foundation and CC cream. Overall I do love it, the brush is able to blend the product well on my face, I love how fluffy the brush is, it feels really soft.

My Love - Round Kabuki Brush

2. Angled Top Mini
To apply concealer - Heavy creamy stick concealer can be tough to blend, while liquid concealers can get a little messy for newbies. Soft and fluffy, it does not tug at your eyes, helps prevent fine lines from forming at your eyes.
Personal review: Finally I tried using this for my under eye area, it blends really well and it helps me to cover the under eye area that's really close with lower lash. Super love <3

3 & 4. Angled Mini & Fluffy Blender
These 2 brushes are 2 of the most versatile eyeshadow brushes, suitable for beginners! It's girls all the time favourites!
Personal review: I should really admit it. I was using these 2 brushes when I was on my way from Singapore to Krabi, I managed to create a smokey look only with these 2 brushes. Can you imagine how awesome these brushes! It's really easy to use and I super love the angled mini, it's so simple and easy for me to apply eyeshadow and create the smokey effect.

5. Tapered Kabuki - Finishing
It's as soft as the clouds! The Tapered Kabuki is a superb brush for all-powder based makeup. Its large dome shaped head allows you to blend blusher, sculpting powder or setting powder with both precision and efficiency. The effect is a nicely blended, lightweight finish.
Personal review: I was using this brush as well during my trip in Krabi, I used is for the finishing - compact powder to apply after the CC cream. I super love the brush, it blends really well.

Overall review:
+ Super love these fluffy brushes
+ Essential kit that every girls should have
+ Brush that understands my needs
+ Brushes could carry the product and apply on my face very well
+ Perfect for personal use

- NONE! :)

Highly recommend this product for every girls out there!
