[Review] Bourjois Touche Healthy Mix Brush Concealer

As I have promised in my previous post. Now I'm sharing the item that I loved recently!

Concealer

Based on Wikipedia, concealer is..

A type of cosmetic that is used to mask dark circles, age spots, large pores and other small blemishes visible on the skin. It is similar to foundation but thicker and used to hide different pigments by blending the imperfection into the surrounding skin tone. It is normally applied after primer, but before foundation and used on the face

Liquid based Concealer
Ok. Even though I like the liquid concealer, but not all are good. Quite struggling to find the right one. I tried from various brand (again) from Etude House and Maybelline. At first, it was fine, everything seems alright, but after few hours.. I experienced the same thing and you know what's that. My horror nightmare, caking.
I wasn't in full confidence when I purchased Bourjois, I thought it would be end up like the other concealers. Which actually it's not! So, here are the highlight that I would like to share with you all! :)

Bourjois Touche Healthy Mix Brush Concealer: a light formula, enriched with light reflecting pigments to help illuminate dark areas and conceal imperfections and a brush tip pen for a precise application.

Bourjois Touche Healthy Mix Brush Concealer

What I like:
- It doesn't "cake" when I put powder on the top of it
- Illuminates my dark circle well
- It brings the more radiant look and it makes my face looks fresher
- Brush tip pen
- Easy to apply and blends well with fingers
- Absorbs to my skin very well

What I dislike:
- Pricing, it costs SGD 19.90 for each, but I've checked on asos.com the price is only about SGD 14++
- The amount in the tube is very less, only 1.5ml. And this is my 2nd tube within less than 2 months
- Only available in certain places, I get it from Watsons NEX
- Low coverage for those who has very dark circles

Brush Tip Pen

Am I willing to buy the third and so on tube?
Yes I am. As long as it covers my dark circles well, I will definitely purchase it on regular basis. For me personally, it's quite hard to find the right concealer. I tried Bobbi Brown, Etude House, Maybelline, Benefit, it didn't work at all. Even I can't finish the whole thing. After few times of usage, I just simply didn't like it and stop using it. I used to be quite harsh with my eyes area, because of dark circles and some concealer, so the effects show now which it creates lot of fine lines despite of my young age! :( I should take care my eye area more intensively.

My experience exploring the right concealer, it wasn't easy, it involves money, effort, and of course your own eyes as the guinea pig. :) So, love your eye area girls!

Here are some tips:
- Make sure to moist your face with moisturizer or eye cream, make it as your base
- Use your ring finger to apply it. Why? Because ring finger has the least strength
- Or if you are using brush, make sure you are not giving too much pressure.
- Be gentle!

!!! Update:
As recently I've been playing with concealer again. I find this trick to have better coverage on your under eye area. As my dark circles is quite dark, 1 tone color can't afford to cover it. Hence I tried with darker color as the first coverage; to cover the very dark circle and followed by second coverage with Bourjois Concealer. It conceals my dark circle quite awesome, doesn't cake and it looks really natural. Here's my look of the day! Notice my dark circles? :)

I was using Sephora Concealer for the first coverage with medium tone, I will give another review too for this product! I fell in love with this product :)

XOXO,
Jess
